JAPANESE GARDEN WORKSHOPS with Ken Lamb

Spend a full day at Imperial Gardens in beautiful Terrey Hills, choose from these workshops: |

A. Japanese gardens; principles & practice - An introduction to the principles of Japanese gardens, rock placement, the karesansui garden,
planting ideas, the basics - from preparation to completion.

B. The shishi-odoshi garden - Each person will make their own shishi-odoshi (yours to take home!) and participate in building
a shishi-odoshi garden at the nursery, including a basic understanding of rock placement, pumps and ponds. ($30
extra charge for materials)

C. The meditation garden - We study the philosophies behind the Japanese garden, how to bring together elements to create
a garden that supports peaceful, quiet pursuits or meditations, take a quick look at Feng shui and dowsing. We
discuss each individual's special garden needs and participate in constructing a garden at the nursery.

D. Design your own Japanese Garden - Bring your own garden measurements, plan and photos, learn about the elements needed and how
to put them together. Working as a group each person's garden is developed so that everyone goes home with a plan
to work from.

E. Build your own Japanese Garden - You have the plan (submitted in advance) - we let you know how to bring it about. We cover many
techniques that are useful in construction and discuss as a group individuals gardens and how to build them. |
 
Lunch, morning and afternoon teas are included. Useful reference material, notes and writing materials for
your own notes are provided. Bring along your home garden plans and photos for inclusion in discussions during
the workshop. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance and a 10% discount card, valid for
12 months (conditions apply).
Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 people to allow for individual attention.
Fee includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea, reference material and lecture notes.
Fees: $260 per person for 1 full day workshop. (Plus $30 extra
