Learn how to create your own Japanese garden… Spend a full day at Imperial Gardens in beautiful Terrey Hills, and choose from these workshops:

DESIGN YOU OWN JAPANESE GARDEN Bring your own garden measurements, plan and photos; and learn about the elements needed and how to put them together. Working as a group, each person’s garden is developed so that everyone goes home with a plan to work from.   JAPANESE GARDEN PRUNING Introduction of Japanese pruning techniques, discussing bonsai techniques and practical demonstration of pruning and your participation in the garden and with nursery stock plants.

THE MEDITATION GARDEN We study the philosophies behind the Japanese garden, how to bring elements together to create a garden that supports peaceful, quiet pursuits or meditations, take a quick look at Feng Shui and dowsing. We discuss each individual’s special garden needs and participate in constructing a garden design to work from.   JAPANESE GARDENS – PRINCIPLES & PRACTICE An introduction to the principles of Japanese gardens, rock placement, the kare-sansui garden, planting ideas, the basics – from preparation to completion.
